BOGG / Weaverville 7/22
Bogg began in 2012, creating a unique blend of jazz from different genres and a wide variety of styles. They are prolific songwriters and arrangers, keeping you totally engaged no matter what they're playing. Their original work speaks volumes to the talents of these young artists, currently working in their 6th album. Check out Bogg and don't miss there performance. They'll be opening the Festival at 4:30pm.
Allison Scull & Victor Martin / Weaverville 7/22
Allison Scull & Victor Martin are known as local 'World Jazz' troubadours. They create jazzy, soulful sound combining sultry vocals, a rhythmic guitar groove, lyrical saxophone lines with original material and engaging personality. Allison sings in a variety of languages adding that 'World' element and Victor is a multi-instrumentalist providing the perfect rhythms to blend the music together. Hailing from Dunsmire, CA, Allison and Victor will be playing at approximately 5:45. The prefect sound to slow the day down and enjoy the cooling shadows and breezes. The Delbert Bump Hammond B-3 Trio, Weaverville July 22
Not really sure what to say about this act... but we are in for a treat. Delbert Bump is a master of the Hammond B-3 and will bring the crowd to their feet on his first note. Over 50 years as a performer, arranger, composer, educators and mentor, Delbert heads 4 different bands and is always on the go. There really isn't time to describe his accomplishments, just give a listen and you'll be impressed Delbert.
Joining Delbert will be top Bay Area performers; Guitar virtuous, Jeff Massanari listen and world renowned drummer Akira Tana listen
This is the finest line-up to date that we have presented at this event. Bring your family and friends and the kids too, if their under 12 they get in free. Come spend the day in historic Weaverville. Bring a blanket and lawn chair, coolers welcome but NO OUTSDE ALCOHOL. We'll have Wine tasting, Beer Garden, Food Truck, Art Vendors and more. please no glass or pets.

Past 2017 performers...
Kezirah has been coined with having a 'whiskey cream voice' and is a native of the musical city of Philadelphia. After a few years of military service, she began her career focus on her passion for fashion. In 2000, there's an unexpected opportunity to try something new.......backup singer for the band Blue Paradise. Kezirah was soon singing leads with the late Sam Johnson. Months later Hijera, the jazz group was formed with Darryl Mc Elmurry, Jeff Forhan & Brad Schneider, performing at the Black Crow.
In 2002 Kezirah became Fuzzy Rojas and started performing in Costa Rica for events & at various venues around the country, like the annual PAWS benifit, The American Colony 4th July Celebration, The Jazz Cafe, Marriott Resort, The Four Seasons Resort....to name a few. She has performed with The Fusion Carribe band and formed The Fuzzy Rojas Band, under music director Ricardo Alfaro. KEZIRAH, her first cd was arranged & recorded by the talented and soulful Ricardo Alfaro in Costa Rica.
Now residing in the foothills of the sierra Cascades, Kezirah has performed locally at the Oroville Salmon Festival, Redding Jazz Festival, opened for Metta Jazz Quintet at the Sierra Nevada Brewery BIG ROOM, Nor-cal Jazz Festival Weaverville and local clubs and restaurants. Redding's own 17 piece 'Big Band" led by Jeff Jones rolls into the Congregation Pilgrim Church (built by Frank Loyd Wright) on Sunday, March 26 in Redding. By donation at the door. Family Friendly, so bring the kids.... they'll love it.
Bassist Kurt Ribak and his Quartet. Kurt is fresh off his latest album " I Got One More' which is getting airplay on jazz stations across the country. Kurt says what he's trying for in his music is ;"Mingus meets The Meters". Performing in clubs and festival throughout California, his visit to Chico is sure to be a memorable night in hot jazz. doors for the "Big Room" event are at 6 with a buffet available, show at 7:30.
